One treasured possession in our home was a family camcorder. Remember those bulky beasts? The sheer delight of capturing a moment – a birthday party, a family vacation, a silly interaction – and then reliving it over and over on that small screen felt nothing short of magical. It was like bottling a fragment of reality, preserving it on that tiny tape, forever etched in memory. Those home movies are more than just recordings; they're time capsules, transporting me back to a simpler time, filled with laughter and cherished moments.
As the years went by, that excitement blossomed into something extraordinary. In the halls of middle and high school, I found myself immersed in the world of photography, entrusted with the task of capturing the essence of those precious school years for our yearbook. When college beckoned, I took a leap of faith. My first camera, patiently waiting on layaway at a local pawn shop, became the catalyst for my creative journey. In my free moments, I began capturing the stories of friends and acquaintances through my lens.
